Landscape Lighting Design & Installation

Your home and gardens are a big investment. Good lighting adds curb appeal, makes steps and walkways safer, and gives you a reason to spend evenings outside. We design and install lighting systems for homes and commercial properties across Maryland and Delaware, from a few path lights to large zoned, color-changing designs.

Landscape lighting highlighting a home and garden

What we do

  • Path and walkway lighting
  • Up-lighting for trees, stonework, and architecture
  • Downlighting and soft moonlighting from tree canopies
  • Patio, deck, and step lighting
  • Security and safety lighting
  • Zoned systems with timers and color-changing control
  • Added fixtures, upgrades, and repairs to existing systems

Our approach to lighting design

  1. We start with how you use your yard and which features you want to show off or make safer.
  2. We choose fixture types and placement so light falls where it helps and stays out of your eyes.
  3. We install fixtures and buried low-voltage cable with as little disturbance to your beds as possible.
  4. We fine-tune aiming and timers so the system looks right after dark.

Why lighting and irrigation work well together

Irrigation and landscape lighting both run underground through the same beds and lawn areas. Because we install both, we can plan trenching and wiring together and avoid damage to either system later.

Questions about landscape lighting

Do you use LED fixtures?

Most modern lighting systems we design use LED fixtures. They use less electricity and last much longer than older bulbs, and they make color-changing and dimming options possible.

Can lighting be added to an established landscape?

Yes. Low-voltage cable can be run through existing beds and along edges with minimal disruption, so you do not need a new landscape to add lighting.

Does landscape lighting need special wiring?

Most residential systems are low voltage. A transformer plugs into an exterior outlet or is wired in by a licensed electrician, and it powers the fixtures through buried cable. We will explain what your property needs during the estimate.
